Awsam Zakaria Ibrahim El Khatib

I have a BA in Information Technology and I was working as HR manager at Palestinian Zakat Authority . I started my master degree at Gaza University and having this degree has been a dream to develop myself and guarantee better future and serve my community. I choose the Public Management as it is very essential for any society especially a place like Gaza—where stability and access to essential services are continuously challenged—strong leadership and governance are needed now more than ever.
Living and studying in Gaza comes with unique and often overwhelming challenges. The political instability, repeated conflicts, and severe economic difficulties affect every aspect of life, including education. Despite these obstacles, I have committed myself fully to my academic journey. I completed all my coursework, and I am currently working on my thesis. I am the head of the family and now I am struggling to meet basic needs due to the economic blockade and security development. As a result, I am unable to pay the remaining university fees needed to continue and graduate.

Receiving financial assistance would have a great impact on both my personal and professional life. It would not only allow me to complete my education but also provide more chances for jobs after a lost my job because of the war in Gaza. More importantly, it would empower me to continue my mission of serving my community. My goal is to work in local government, where I can help design and implement programs that improve people's lives and ensure more transparency and accountability in public Management.
Completing my studies will equip me with the tools and knowledge to participate in rebuilding and strengthening public institutions in Gaza.
