My name is Saeb Najeh Mahmoud Alawneh, and I am a Computer Systems Engineering student at the Arab American University in Jenin. I have always been interested in technology and its ability to create opportunities, solve problems, and shape the future. My educational journey has taught me the importance of taking responsibility for my goals. During secondary school, I began working to cover the cost of my private lessons while maintaining my academic performance.
I worked hard to keep up with school and graduated with an average of 92.3%. Being accepted into the Arab American University was a big step for me. To make that opportunity possible, I worked continuously for two and a half months, saving enough money to cover my initial university enrollment fees and begin my studies. Since then, I have continued working whenever opportunities arise to help pay my university installments.
Balancing work and education has required commitment and careful planning, but I have remained focused on completing my degree. I have also tried to learn as much as I can outside my classes. I participated in several student clubs and university activities and earned certificates in different technical fields and practical skills.
Through these activities, I have learned new skills and gained experience that I hope to use after graduation. Today, I have only three semesters remaining before graduation. My father has been unable to work because of ongoing health conditions, and my brother is the only working member supporting our family of eight. Despite my efforts to fund my education, limited work opportunities and tuition costs have made completing my degree increasingly difficult.
Support through ASAI's LIFT program would help me cover my university tuition and complete the remaining semesters of my education. My goal is to graduate in Computer Systems Engineering, improve my technical skills, and build a career where I can use technology and innovation to create opportunities and contribute positively to my community.
I have worked hard to reach this point. With your support, I hope to turn years of effort and determination into the university degree I have been working toward.
