Sarah Shweiki

Hello, I am Sarah Shweiki, a second-year student majoring in nursing at Palestine Polytechnic University, I will summarize my story and my need for this scholarship in this article

When I was in the eleventh grade, my parents were separated and I moved to live with my mother's family and completed my studies in a school and a community that was strange to me, which led to a social shock due to my transition from city life to the countryside in a center that was strange to me, and despite these circumstances, I completed high school with an average of 92.3 in the literary branch

As I mentioned first, there is a separation between my family, which led to the opposition of my father's parents to complete my education, and their refusal to take care of my expenses, so my grandmother ( mother ) took care of my educational expenses through the salary of the late grandfather ( mother's father) and my mother worked as a skin specialist, which helped me a little to afford my expenses, but after the war there became discounts in the salaries of employees, and therefore the salary that my grandmother was getting became not enough for these expenses, and also my mother, whose work was interrupted because of the war, too, it became very difficult for me to complete my career is not to postpone my classes until the end of this difficult period

The reason for applying for this scholarship has become clear, I will either have to leave my studies or postpone it until the end of this war, which is not clear when it will end, what I mean to clarify in this article is that the two sources of income that I relied on for my studies have become insufficient for even normal daily expenses.

I had applied this semester and previously to loans from the Palestinian student loan fund and from the student council's assistance, but the amount that was being deducted was not enough and when I tried to make the installment through the bank, there was no one from my acquaintances who had a bank account to be ( my sponsor )at the Palestine Islamic Bank, which was providing the possibility of installment, and with all this, I still held on to one last hope so that I could get assistance, I applied to scholarships from local companies, but they were rejected on the grounds of my delay in applying for them, but I didn't know about their existence basically, as I mentioned previously, I've only been living here for 3 years and I don't know how things are going, and also during that period my mother suffered an injury to her foot, which led to my preoccupation with caring for her

As for my brothers, I have 4 brothers and children, 3 of them live with my father and the youngest lives with me, my mother and grandmother

For me, my story is a story of struggle and diligence in order to get the certificate that is my right and help my family
