Amjad Fawaz Sarahneh

I am Amjad Fawaz Sarahneh, a student at the Faculty of Information Technology at Hebron University, majoring in Cybersecurity. I am writing this statement from Al-Fawwar Refugee Camp, located in the southern Hebron in the West Bank, Palestine, where we live in conditions that defy imagination. I am reaching out to you with a heart full of sorrow and pain, as my dreams and ambitions have been crushed under the weight of harsh conditions and ongoing war.

Life in Al-Fawwar camp is incredibly difficult. The economic conditions are harsh, and the health situation is deplorable. We are surrounded by all kinds of suffering you can imagine. The camp is frequently raided by Israeli occupation forces, and I can be arrested at any moment without any reason, depriving us of our basic rights to education and a decent life. Living here is like living in an endless hell, where each day brings new challenges.

Despite all the difficulties, I see hope in the field of cybersecurity, a lifeline to cling to in the midst of this storm. But the war and economic conditions have made it extremely difficult to continue my studies. The university tuition fee is $1,400 per semester, and we used to rely on two sources to pay it: my modest job and the support of my family who are government employees. But now, with only 50% of government salaries being paid, we are unable to even secure our basic needs, let alone pay the university tuition.

I am writing this statement to ask for your help in realizing my dream and continuing my education. I need $5,000 to cover my educational expenses for the coming years. This amount would represent a beacon of hope for a better future, not only for me but for my entire family, who are struggling alongside me for a decent life.

I kindly ask you to consider my request with compassion and understanding, and to assist me in achieving this goal that will change my life. Any support, no matter how small, will have a significant impact on my educational journey and my life.

Thank you for your time and attention.
