Obada Najjar
My name is Obada Najjar, and I am a radiology technician student at PPU University in Hebron, Palestine. Born and raised in Hebron, I have always been passionate about helping people and fascinated by advanced technology, which led me to pursue this specialty. Growing up in Hebron, I witnessed firsthand the challenges my community faces in accessing quality healthcare. This inspired me to contribute to the field of radiology, where I can make a real difference in people’s lives. The blend of cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to provide essential medical care to those in need motivates me every day.
The ongoing conflict and economic instability in our region have made it increasingly difficult to cover the costs of my education. Despite these challenges, I remain committed to my studies and determined to achieve my goals. I dream of continuing my education beyond my bachelor's degree and pursuing advanced studies in my field, ultimately becoming a leader in radiology and making a lasting impact on my community.
Since childhood, education has been my greatest dream, viewed as a means to escape the difficult circumstances my family faced. However, as time went on, I began to feel that this dream might become unattainable due to financial challenges. My family has struggled to provide for basic needs, making higher education seem like a distant hope. When I learned about scholarships for Arab students, I felt a spark of hope. I decided to apply for the Arab Student Aid scholarship and began writing my application. This was my opportunity to express my aspirations and hardships. I wrote about my passion for learning and my desire to use my education to improve my life and the lives of those around me.
When I received the news of my acceptance, I could hardly believe it. That moment was filled with joy and gratitude, as I realized I would be able to continue my studies in radiology at PPU University. This financial support marked a turning point in my life, allowing me to focus on my studies instead of worrying about tuition fees.
As I began my studies, I discovered that the scholarship provided not only financial support but also opportunities to connect with peers from diverse backgrounds.
