Malik Jamal Alhuraine

My name is Malik Alhuraine, and I am a software student with dreams of making a difference in my community and in my family life. I graduated from high school with a score of 97.9 in the scientific branch and achieved a GPA of 3.72 in my first year of college. I have worked hard to lay a strong academic foundation. However, the journey ahead is full of challenges, and I find myself reaching out to generous donors who can play a crucial role in shaping my future.

Growing up, education was always emphasized in my family. My parents, though not wealthy, instilled in me the belief that knowledge is the key to success. They made sacrifices to ensure I had a normal educational journey like other students. However, as I advanced in my education, I began to realize the financial burden associated with pursuing learning.

During my first year in college, I faced various challenges, including the difficulty of paying the high university fees and the steep cost of transportation. I used to pay about $13 a day for transportation. In the second semester, education transitioned to online learning. I saw it as an opportunity to work and save money for university fees. Unfortunately, due to the war, I had to spend money to secure food and other essentials. Despite these hurdles, they didn’t deter me; rather, my desire to learn and grow intensified. I graduated with a high GPA.

One of my long-term goals is to become one of the best programmers in the Middle East. I believe that this can only be achieved through diligence, hard work, and gaining experience. However, to make real change, I need the tools and resources that higher education provides. By investing in my education, donors not only help me achieve my dreams but also contribute to a larger mission of social justice.

If I were to receive a scholarship or financial support, I would allocate the funds toward fees, educational materials, and resources that would enhance my learning experience.
