Aya Jihad Mar’i Farah

My name is Aya Jihad Mar’i Farah, and I am a proud Palestinian from the city of Jenin. I graduated from high school in 2019, achieving an outstanding 99.1% in the scientific stream. Currently, I am in my sixth year of medical school at Al-Quds University, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 85.26%. Becoming a doctor has been my dream since childhood, and despite facing numerous challenges, I have worked tirelessly to make it a reality.

My journey hasn’t been limited to academics alone. I’ve had the privilege of excelling in public speaking, poetry, writing, and Quranic recitation competitions, earning top positions. Additionally, I’ve always sought to serve my community. I’ve volunteered in medical assistance teams during emergencies, offered workshops for children in public speaking and calligraphy, and supported my community during times of conflict. These experiences have shaped my character and reinforced my belief in giving back.

I am also passionate about scientific research and am a proud member of my university’s research club. I firmly believe that research is key to advancing our society. Looking to the future, I aspire to specialize in urology, a field where I see a critical need for female specialists in my community. Many women feel uncomfortable sharing their medical concerns with male doctors, which can lead to misdiagnoses and complications. I hope to bridge that gap and provide the compassionate care these patients deserve.

Despite my dedication and achievements, I am currently facing significant financial challenges. Mounting debts for my tuition fees threaten my ability to graduate and continue pursuing my dream of serving my community. I am reaching out with the hope that those who value education and community service might help me overcome this obstacle. Your support would not only change my life but also enable me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

I deeply appreciate your consideration and generosity. Together, I believe we can light the way out of darkness and build a brighter future for our nation, one step at a time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in students like me, who are determined to contribute to the world through knowledge, compassion, and resilience.
