ASAI at Palestine Day: Honoring Heritage, Connecting Generations
Columbus, Ohio — June 2026
Arab Student Aid International (ASAI) participated in Palestine Day, organized by Baladna: Palestine Society of Columbus. The event brought together families, organizations, artists, and community members to commemorate the Nakba and honor Palestinian history, culture, heritage, and identity.
Through cultural and educational activities, Palestine Day created a space for community members across generations to engage with Palestinian history and heritage. The gathering provided an opportunity not only for remembrance, but also for preserving cultural identity and passing its stories, traditions, and significance to future generations.
ASAI at Palestine Day
For ASAI, the day was an opportunity to connect around something deeply connected to its mission: investing in Arab youth and their future through education.
ASAI joined other organizations and community members at the event, sharing its work and engaging in conversations about education and the opportunities available to students across the Arab world.
The organization’s work is rooted in the belief that access to education can provide young people with opportunities to pursue their ambitions, develop their potential, and contribute to their communities.
Remembering the Past, Looking Toward the Future
